Geisinger United Way Campaign Employee Participation Appreciation Prize Drawing

Now more than ever, the United Way Campaign allows us a great opportunity to show our generosity and demonstrate asincere desire to lend a hand to individuals and families in need within our communities. Geisinger’s 2012 United Way Campaign runs from Monday, September 10 through Friday, November 30, and we sincerely hope you will participate.wine tasting

These are stressful times, and while we may read or hearabout the many communities that are struggling through significant economic challenges, it is important to remember that many of those who are struggling are our friends, neighbors and co-workers. The Geisinger mission and the goal of United Way share a common purpose: to improve the quality of life for people in the communities we serve.

For the past several years, economic pressures have reduced funding and other resources which United Way agencies rely upon for support, making your pledge all the more important. Your gift could not come at a better time.

We encourage every Geisinger employee to take part in this vital initiative. No contribution is too small, and every dollar makes a positive difference—so your participation—no matter the size of your gift—is vital.

You can find a downloadable paper pledge form, a list of United Way agencies and member agencies and a prize at www.bloomhealth.net/unitedway . You can use this form for your donation, either by check or payroll deduction. Additional copies of the pledge forms will be distributed to your manager.

Your qualifying pledge will automatically enter you in the participant appreciation prize drawings to be held weekly until Friday, December 7.

Thank you in advance for making a difference by supporting the United Way.

Sincerely,

Glenn Steele, Jr., MD, PhD
President & Chief Executive Officer

Albert Bothe, Jr., MD
Executive Vice President & Chief Medical Officer
