For more than 100 years, Bloomsburg Hospital has been serving the town of Bloomsburg and the surrounding communities. Our goal at Bloomsburg Hospital is to provide the personal attention you expect to receive in a local community hospital setting, while offering the most advanced technology available for you and your family.

Gifts from friends, family and neighbors help to make important advancements possible. Our most recent success was the addition of 30 private rooms each with a private bath for our Medical Surgical Unit. This accomplishment has now made every patient room at our Hospital private and outfitted with comfortable amenities. Whatever your need—emergency, maternity, short procedure, overnight observation or surgery—all can be accomplished with privacy and security.

Gifts also help us maintain a strong economic presence. Bloomsburg Hospital is one of Columbia County’s Top Ten Employers, contributing $63 million to the region’s economy each year. Gifts strengthen the Hospital’s reputation by advancing technology, improving services and building facilities needed to house new specialties. Gifts help ensure that the Hospital will remain part of the foundation of our community.

Gifts of Cash

You may make a cash gift of any size at any time to Bloomsburg Hospital. You may also pledge a multi-year commitment with an annual installment. You may designate your gift for a particular service area or for our unrestricted capital fund - which makes ongoing building and technology projects possible.

Gifts for Bloomsburg Hospital’s Memorial Garden & Brick Plaza

Gifts in memory or in honor of a loved one are always welcome. Soon to be located at our Main Entrance, the Memorial Garden and Brick Plaza will offer bricks in two sizes 4×8 for $150.00 and 8×8 for $300.

Gifts for the Memorial Garden & Brick Plaza represent the Hospital’s first commitment to an endowment program. Funds received will create an endowment fund intended to provide perpetual support for our Hospital’s services, equipment and technology.

Events & Corporate Sponsorship

Join us for a Day of Golf

Friends and neighbors annually enjoy a day of golf with us at Frosty Valley Country Club in Danville. Normally held on the last Wednesday in August, this fundraiser has been an annual event for more than 20 years. Our day includes complimentary green fees, carts, snacks & drinks, prime rib dinner, and many gifts and prizes. Sponsorship opportunities are available and include 1 - 4 golfers as well as recognition during the event and a charitable deduction. Proceeds exclusively benefit Bloomsburg Hospital.

Join us for a weekend of fun at the Annual Car Show

Our Annual Car Show held at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds offers fun and entertainment for the entire family. Held annually on the 2nd weekend in August, the show is open to vehicles of all makes and models and folks join us from all over the country. The fun includes Top 25 Trophies, $1,000 cash grand prize, runner up prizes, camping, food, live music, and a flamethrower show. Cars register for just $20.00 in advance or $25.00 day of show. Spectator admission is only $5.00 for adults 12 and older. Sponsorship opportunities are available and include vendor space, promotion, recognition during the event and a charitable deduction. Gifts of Securities

Contributing appreciated securities is a smart way to support Bloomsburg Hospital. The Hospital benefits from the full current value of a gift of securities, and neither the Hospital nor you are required to pay capital gains tax. Shares that pay low dividends, shares you believe have reached their maximum price, or shares you want to eliminate from your portfolio for other reasons are welcome at the Hospital and make perfect choices for a contribution. Gifts of securities may be made at any time during the year and the value can be designated for unrestricted capital purpose or a particular service area. Gifts of Life Insurance

If you own a life insurance policy that is no longer needed by you and your family, consider gifting it to Bloomsburg Hospital. Gifting a life insurance policy is easy to do, and can be a charitable donation (even if annual premiums are still to be made.) Your insurance agent can give you details on which forms to complete.

Life Income Gifts

Considering a major gift? A life income gift can allow you to transfer assets now and yet continue to receive income from the cash, stock or other property contributed. A life income gift can help provide an income stream, a charitable tax deduction, and help you avoid capital gains tax.

Bequests
