Bloomsburg Health System recognizes Nurses of the Year

In honor of Nurses Week, Bloomsburg Health System held its annual Nurse’s Tea last week, where members of the nursing staff were presented with Nurse of the Year awards.
The state-certified Nurse of the Year awards are presented to nurses who show initiative, a strong sense of caring and a true passion for the profession. Recipients are chosen by their peers to win the award.
Bloomsburg Health System’s Nurses of the Year are Agnes Kind, RN, behavioral health unit, Maribeth Endress, RN, recovery room, Jody McHenry, LPN, emergency department, Karen Snyder, RN, Columbia Montour Home Health & Hospice, and Allissa Boyer, LPN, Bloomsburg Physicians Services. Also from Bloomsburg Physicians Services, Becky Hosler, LPN, and Cheryl Eyer, LPN, received honorable mentions.
“Every nurse deserves recognition,” said Bonnie Hess, RN, vice president of nursing administration. “National Nurses Week is a chance for us to show the men and women who are so important to our health system and community the appreciation they deserve all year long.”
