Description
A clinically competent Licensed Practical Nurse who under the supervision of a Registered Nurse delivers nursing care to acutely ill psychiatric patients requiring specialized care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation in an acute care facility.
Possess the ability to interact with the Hospital and Community population. Effectively interacts with patient, significant other(s), healthcare team members and ancillary personnel, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Performs other related duties as assigned by Head Nurse/Charge Nurse.
Hours
Hours are from 11pm to 7am. Includes every other weekend from 11pm to 7am. Other hours and holidays scheduled as needed.
Experience
Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Previous psychiatric and/or medical-surgical experience preferred.
Current BLS preferred.
Ability to follow written, oral instructions and communicate verbal and written.
