Description
A clinically competent, Professional Registered Nurse who delivers nursing care to the acutely ill psychiatric patients through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Possesses the ability to interact with the Hospital and Community population. Effectively interacts with patient, significant other(s), healthcare team members and ancillary personnel, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Performs other related duties as assigned by Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse. Functions in the Charge Nurse position when delegated, and assumes the responsibility for the assignment of and supervision of all Nursing Staff members on his/her unit for the direct and indirect provision of nursing care.
Hours
Hours vary and may include all three shifts as needed. Hours include a minimum of four shifts per month. Weekends are scheduled as needed.
Experience
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Previous Psychiatric and/or Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to communicate fluently, verbal and written.
Current BLS preferred.
