Description

Coordinates office procedures to assure efficient and effective operations. Supervises office staff to accomplish accurate and efficient billing and collection procedures for patient services in the outpatient setting and to maintain staff competency.

Develops and directs billing procedures. Reviews and completes procedure and diagnosis coding on billing documents and processes to assure timely and optimal reimbursement. Assures the completeness and accuracy of financial reports. Interacts with patients, staff and the Community population.

Hours

Hours are Monday thru Friday from 7am to 3pm. Includes occasional later coverage if needed.

Experience

Education: High school diploma or equivalent and formal secretarial training with emphasis in the business courses.
Associate degree, certification or equivalent education/experience in HR management, business or behavioral science preferred.

Experience: Previous related experience preferred. Must posses advanced secretarial skills including typing, pc operation or word processing, dictation, transcription and telephone communication.
Previous experience in hospital or physical therapy practice management preferred.
Knowledge of organizational structures and functions of hospitals helpful.
