Description

A competent person certified in addiction's counseling responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing and monitoring addictions (dual diagnosis) programming for inpatients and their families. This person will provide staff education to employees on the behavioral health unit and the hospital at wide. This individual monitors and evaluates therapeutic services furnished in accordance with accepted standards of practice and established policies and procedures.

Additional duties include assessing the dual diagnosis patient and working with the treatment team to develop the patient's treatment plan and discharge plan. Further responsibilities include coordinating discharge planning for dually diagnosed patients and providing direct guidance and assistance to addiction's counselors.

Hours

Hours vary as needed.

Experience

Certified Addictions Counselor (Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field required, but prefer a Master's degreed individual) and/or Clinical Supervisor Certification (PCACB) preferred.

Previous experience in D&A work preferred.

Current Pennsylvania Driver's License.
