Description

A clinically competent, professional registered nurse who directs and supervises all Nursing Services and Hospital activities in an acute care facility with a patient population range in age from infancy to geriatrics. Possess the ability to interact with the Hospital and Community population in accordance with the individual’s age group and level of growth and development. Assumes overall responsibility for Nursing Services to assure the provision of quality nursing care, provide continuity in decision making and consistency in Nursing Practice on his/her designated shift. Effectively interacts with patient, significant other(s), health care team members and ancillary personnel, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Addresses and represents Nursing Service Administration in the absence of the Vice President of Nursing.

Hours

Hours include all three shifts: 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm or 11pm to 7am. Other hours vary as scheduled.

Experience

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with current licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. B.A. in Nursing preferred. Two (2) to five (5) years of clinical experience, including experience as Charge Nurse. Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities and possesses good oral and written communication skills. Current BLS,ACLS,PALS,NRP and PEAT preferred.
