Description
To perform various functions of the radiology program that apply to this institution, which shall include, general diagnostic procedures, special X-ray procedures, surgical procedures, processing and preparation of the completed radiographs for the radiologist’s interpretation. To prepare and maintain records and files as directed, clean and make minor adjustments to equipment. Health, Personnel, Quality Assurance, etc. When special radiologic services are requested, must be able to assist the physician and be able to maintain the integrity and sterility of the specialized equipment. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the assigned service.
Hours
Hours will vary as scheduled. Need to be available to work all shifts and days as needed.
Experience
High school graduate or equivalent.
Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic training in an A.M.A. approved school and ability to meet requirements for registry by the American Registry.
Must successfully complete the A.R.R.T within 6 months of hire and the A.R.R.T. (M) within 6 months of hire or within 6 months of documented training for mammography.
CPR training is required.
The equivalent of at least the two year training program in radiologic technology.
