What is home healthcare?

Home health care is professional services prescribed for your specific illness or injury, provided in the comfort of your own home.

Care may include nursing, home health aide services, nutrition and social work counseling, and physical, occupational and speech therapy.

Carrying on the time-honored tradition of Visiting Nurses Association, Columbia Montour Home Health has been established in this community since 1967. Our highly qualified professional and technical staff provides care
to residents of Columbia and Montour counties, lower Luzerne, upper Northumberland and surrounding counties.

When home is the appropriate and accepted place for a patient, our staff brings a variety of services into your home on a part-time basis to care for acutely ill or convalescing individuals in order to restore health and independent functioning.

An initial evaluation visit is made by a staff member who consults with your doctor on an appropriate care plan for you. All services are ordered and continually updated by your doctor.
